Avocado Tuna Salad

The problem with this might not have been the recipe itself, but I found it too strong from the onion I used and I forgot I was using my own home canned tuna and put a little too much salt in. I think I would like to try it again and use a milder onion and leave out the salt.

Thoroughly enjoyed making this salad. Tastes great- so healthy too.

DELICIOUS !!!!!!!!! I JUST LOVED THE DILL I HAVE NEVER USED IN TUNA SALAD BEFORE. THE MAYO I USED THE NEW AVOCADO MAYO TO GET MORE OF THE AVOCADO TASTE OTHERWISE EVERYTHING ELSE WAS THE SAME. I MADE TWO SERVINGS. THAT USES ONLY 1 CAN OF TUNA.

LOVE it!! It takes away any fishy taste from the tuna. I usually put pickles in but now prefer avocado!!

Easy to make and the taste is a mixture of everything, will make it again. Good for a diet meal or a snack on crackers

Delicious! Next time I'll add the whole chopped apple for even more crunch and put the sea salt shaker and cumin on the table for each individual's taste.

Wow, this was really good! Definitely leave the peel on the apple, and don't even think about leaving out the walnuts! Don't need bread ... just eat it with a fork. Yum!

Loved the fresh flavors of this recipe! I did only use 1/4 cup of red onions in my mix. The cumin and avocado were a nice added touch of flavors!

Delish. Didn't have pickle juice and used a whole avacado. I spread Hummus on my bread, quick broil them mixture. Thanks for this!

I made this yesterday and found it delicious. I used honeycrisp apples. Some prefer Granny Smith. The acid from the pickle juice added tartness, the cumin gave it some kick and the walnuts and celery gave it crunch. It's a keeper for me.

It was...OK. I think I am more a traditional tuna salad person though. I love all the ingredients, just not on tuna.

Very good! I love all the different textures and flavors going on. They really complimented each other! I didn't have walnuts, so I used sliced almonds.

I made this for a party and it was gobbled up! I was worried the avocado or the apple would brown but they didn't. No changes to the recipe - it is just right!

Doubled the Dijon and added line juice to keep the apples and avocado from turning brown.

This is a very tasty recipe. I especially love the healthy avocado, apple and walnuts with the tuna. I followed the recipe exactly. It is a keeper.

I omitted the celery because I’m allergic. I substituted slivered almonds instead of walnuts. In a separate batch, I substituted canned chicken because my husband doesn’t like tuna. All in all I think this is a pretty tasty dish on toast or just plain

great recipe, adding more avocado makes it even better.

I made this tonight with a few minor changes. Used 1 large (12 oz) can tuna, whole small apple and juice of 1 lemon in place of pickle juice. I also used Miracle Whip rather than mayo (for extra sweetness). I chopped the avocado rather than mashing. Added all other ingredients exactly as written. My husband and I both enjoyed it. Served on lettuce leaves for a nice, light summer dinner with a glass of rosé.

Very tasty and packed with protein to keep you full! I used it as a salad topping, enjoying it on a bed of spinach. Healthy AND flavorful! The only thing I didn't have was the walnuts (maybe next time). Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing!
